Abstract：
Belief propagation is a generally applicable algorithm for statistics inference. In the first part of the talk, I will give the background and the basic idea of belief propagation algorithm. In the second part, I will introduce how to apply this algorithm to solve a computer vision problem - stereo matching, and a computer graphics problem – image completion.
