I will review some known results and give recent results, obtained in collaboration with R. da Silva, on helicoidal minimal surfaces in the space obtained by perturbing the Euclidean metric on R3 by a rotation. The total curvature of simple closed curves in a Minkowski space will be considered. I will show analogues to Frenchel and Fary-Milnor Theorems in Minkowski space obtained in a joint paper with A. Borisenko.
