At first, I will outline some classical results on the Yang-Mills flow. Then I will talk about some recent results on Yang-Mills alpha flow and the related result of the energy identity of Yang-Mills alpha connections. Finally, we will establish a parabolic gauge fixing theorem, which yields a new proof of the Yang-Mills flow over four dimensional manifolds.
