Abstract:On Fano manifolds, there is a new infinite dimensional GIT picture introduced by S. Donaldson such that the associated moment map is the Ricci potentials. The resulting YTD correspondence is between the K-E metrics and Ding stability. The critical points of the moment map's norm square are exactly the generalized K-E metrics which have been found by T. Mabuchi in 2000. The associated stability should be the relative version of Ding stability. In this talk, I will focus on the toric setting, discuss the Ding-Futaki invariants, relative Ding stability, the existence of Mabuchi metrics and the optimal destabilizers, etc.
