Abstract: The Yau-Tian-Donaldson conjecture for Kahler-Einstein metrics was recently solved affirmatively by Tian and Chen-Donaldson-Sun. However, this conjecture is still open for general polarizations or more generally in extremal Kahler cases. In this talk, with emphasis on details, I'll discuss extremal Kahler versions of the conjecture from the viewpoints of the Chow norm.
