Abstract: In this talk, we will consider generalizations of Jarzynski equality and fluctuation theorem for diffusion processes in noneqilibrium physics. On the theoretical side, we will focus on mathematical tools and arguments which allow us to derive results in nonequilibrium physics. On the numerical side, we will study free energy calculation based on Jarzynski equality. Two variance reduction approaches will be presented and illustrated with simple numerical examples. This is a joint work with Carsten Hartmann and Christof Schuette.
