A permutation on N is called cofinitary iff it has only finitely many fixed points. A subgroup G of Sym(N) is a cofinitary group iff every element in G except identity is cofinitary. We will discuss the cardinality of maximal cofinitary permutation groups, and some related set theoretical problems.
