In collaboration with Ming-Cheng Shiue, concerning the primitive equations with time periodic forcing terms, under suitable smallness assumption on the nontrivial forcing terms, we prove the existence of the time periodic solution for the primitive equation. Moreover, we show that this solution is a global attractor for the solutions of the primitive equation in L2 sense. The smallness of the forcing terms depends only on the diffusivity coefficients of the fluid and the temperature function.
