we use random field to model the uncertainty or microscopic heterogeneity of physical parameter in classic continuum mechanics and concern the maximum strain failure criteria. Asymptotic analysis and non-exponential tilt importance sampling are derived for the one dimensional model based on Gaussian random field. It is a joint work with Jingchen Liu.
