We apply results of Goodman, Yano and Wada to determine which nonsingular Morse-Smale flows on the 3-sphere have transverse foliations. We then observe that there is a connection to flows arising from certain Hamiltonian systems and from certain contact structures. Recent work by Cordero et al allow us to partially extend these results to S^2xS^1.
