Abstract: In 1983 Meakin speculated that Diffusion Limited Aggregation (DLA) growing from a long fiber displays different characteristics from the classical DLA growing from a single point. In this talk we will show that the bulk of DLA growing from a long fiber behaves like the infinite stationary DLA (SDLA), a model recently defined by Zhang and Procaccia.
