Abstract: In 1977, P. Anderson won the Nobel prize for his discovery of a new basic physical phenomenon, which is now called Anderson localization. The nonlinear Anderson model is a refinement taking into account the many body interactions.
I will review mathematical results on nonlinear Anderson localization, based on the joint works with J. Bourgain, and more recently with W. Liu.
